About 2.3 billion years ago, when the oxygen began to be a frequent element in the atmosphere, it began to form a nucleus of cells that contained hereditary material.
How to establish an intimate relationship with a geological formation?
At what point does the air become a relic?
From documentary material, Fossil Place builds a set on a dystopian narrative, based on different testimonies about environmental and economic phenomena of the last 40 years in different cities of China.
The short film proposes three narrative levels: image, narration, and sound, which at times meet, while in others they overlap, creating an invisible layer of meaning and representation; inducing a stimulus to think that something urgent is happening.
The complete series consist on a four channel video installation and 60 color photographs printed on cotton paper, 100 x 80 cm. each.
There is a one channel video version of 15´, 2019.

Hace unos 2.300 millones de años, cuando el oxígeno comenzó a ser un elemento frecuente en la atmósfera, empezaban a formarse núcleos de células complejas que contenían material hereditario.
¿Cómo entablar una relación íntima con una formación geológica?
¿En qué momento el aire se convierte en una reliquia?
Emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero, derrames de petróleo, lluvia ácida, aniquilación de animales, la economía basada en combustibles fósiles: la catástrofe, y sus políticas de representación no son anónimas.
Hoy, la humanidad se convirtió en un agente geológico con la capacidad de generar un impacto en el planeta similar al de los movimientos tectónicos, la colisión de asteroides y la erupción de volcanes; el impacto es tan profundo que probablemente nuestra existencia será reconocida como una capa de estratificación distinta, tiempo después de nuestra extinción.
